Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP)

ECEAP is a state-funded preschool offered to families who meet income requirements and whose children are 3 years old but not 5 years old by August 31st.  Children are enrolled into the program based on age, family income or other reasons they would benefit from education, family support and health services.

National Black Child Development Institute, Inc. 

We are connected with NBCDI, working together to bridge achievement gaps and promote early literacy.  Their mission is "to improve and advance the quality of life for Black children and their families through education and advocacy."  Seattle has a local chapter.

WA State Department of Children Youth & Families (DCYF)

Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families is our licensing agent.  It focuses on children's earliest years of life. They offer information and resources for children's first and most important teachers—parents—as well as others who care for and teach young children.

Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL)

City of Seattle DEEL uses funds from the Families and Education Levy to invest in Early Learning, K-12 Schools and Student Health.  It administers the Seattle Preschool Program, provides funding opportunities for schools and community-based organizations, and professional development training for preschool teachers and family caregivers.

BrightSpark (formerly child care resources)

Child Care Resources is a Seattle non-profit organization that maintains lists and referrals for quality child care and preschool in your neighborhood.

Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

We participate in the USDA's Child & Adult Care Food Program, providing balanced and nutritious meals to the children.

Teaching Strategies for Early Childhood

Teaching strategies refer to methods used to help students learn the desired course contents and be able to develop achievable goals in the future.

Client 6

King County Department of Health

The Public Health team provides Health promotion and disease prevention information for child care facilities throughout Seattle and King County.  They partner with the center for training, consultation, and support.
