Primm ABC Child Care Center & Preschool was founded in 1970 through the vision of Reverend and Mrs. Edward N. Smith Jr., the members of Primm Tabernacle A.M.E. Church, and dedicated community partners who believed every child deserved a safe, nurturing, and enriching place to learn.

What began as a small program serving 21 children soon grew to meet the needs of more families. In 1975, Primm expanded to a second location on Rainier Avenue South, and in 1977, the center moved to its current home.

For more than 50 years, Primm ABC has continued to grow through the generosity, commitment, and support of families, community organizations, board members, volunteers, and friends. Today, we proudly serve children from toddler age through school age in a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

Our history is more than a timeline. It is a story of faith, service, partnership, and a lasting commitment to helping children and families thrive.
